Laselva MMA & Fitness is partnering  with Homeschooling families to teach fitness, martial arts, and build confidence in students while   providing the necessary hours and activity to fulfill a P.E. credit for your student’s High School transcripts.  With patient and     encouraging instruction the instructors at Laselva MMA & Fitness have a passion for teaching children as well as the whole family.

As a Homeschool Family, here is what you can expect from Laselva MMA & Fitness:

  • Earn P.E. Credit for High School transcripts (offered in semesters)

  • Classes are offered during schooling hours, leaving evenings open for family time as well as your regular scheduled activities.

  • Day Care Room available along with a “Mother’s Room” for nursing and changing diapers. (parental supervision needed)

  • Certificate of Completion awarded to qualifying students* at the end of each semester

Skills Taught

 

The students will be exposed to various skills in Fitness, Self Defense, Taekwondo, Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Boxing.  Students will work at their own level including how to modify moves  to adjust to their abilities.  Sparring is optional.

 

Semester Dates

 

The State of Kansas* requires 1.O Carnegie Unit  (credit) of Physical Education for graduation. 1 Carnegie Unit** equates to two semesters of a minimum of 3 hours a week for 16 weeks.  With this in mind, we have been able to work in three semesters in the in this 2015-1016 school year calendar.

 

 

2016 SUMMER SEMESTER

Beginning the week of May 4 and ending the week of August 21 

(16 weeks)

2016 FALL SEMESTER

Beginning the week of August 31 and ending the week of December 18

(16 weeks - we will be working around Thanksgiving)

2017 SPRING SEMESTER

Beginning the week of January 4 and ending the week of April 29

(16 weeks - 1 week off for Spring Break)

 

Pricing

 

The cost for one semester (.5 credit ) is $125 per children .  That breaks down to only  $2.60 per hour of class. That is a huge savings  being offered to homeschool students. There is a one time $20 Enrollment Fee per family that is waved if you pre-enroll  for the class.

 

Three Class Types Available

 

CLASS STUDY

 

A class will be offered that will expose you to a variety of skills.

 

Class Time:

Tuesday 10:00am - 11:30am

Thursday from 10:00am - 11:30am

(These classes are offered twice a week for a total of 3 hours per week. This class is only available to homeschool students.)

 

INDEPENDENT STUDY

 

Choose the classes you want to take.

(Minimum of 3 hours per week)

 

Options:

9:00 am Fitness

10:00 am Kickboxing

11:00 am Jiu Jitsu

 

(These classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and are open to the public.)

 

COMBINATION STUDY

 

Choose a schedule that works for you using the afternoon classes from the class study and the morning classes available on the independent study.  A student must take a minimum of 3 hours per week to qualify for the full semester credit.  You are allowed to participate in more classes if you are interested. If you miss a class you can utilize any of these classes to make up your missed time.
